    Why is my Maytronics Dolphin not cleaning the waterline?
    Answer
    The Maytronics Dolphin DX3 robotic pool cleaner is designed to climb the walls, but not up to the waterline. You may see the Dolphin perform an arch on the wall as it works its way down.

    What are the voltage requirements for the Dolphin power supply?
    Answer
    The Dolphin requires a standard 120v outlet for power.

    What are the ideal operating temperatures for my Dolphin cleaner?
    Answer
    Dolphin robotic pool cleaners are best used in temperatures between 43 and 93 degrees.

    Should I remove the Styrofoam from the motor unit?
    Answer
    No, do not remove, this is not packing material. These help the Dolphin with buoyancy within the pool.

    My white climbing rings are dented, are they damaged?
    Answer
    No, the indentions on the rings are normal and due to the product settling during shipping. The rings will reshape once saturated with water.

    No, this Dolphin robotic pool cleaner does NOT have Bluetooth capability.

    Can you use Dolphin cleaners in hot tubs or ponds, etc.?

    No, the Dolphin is not designed to clean hot tubs or ponds.

    Can you leave the power supply out in the weather?
    Answer
    The power supply is water resistant but not waterproof. Please cover the power supply if inclement weather approaches. Do not leave the power supply in standing water. Do not allow the power supply to be submerged in the pool.

    Can you leave the Dolphin in the Water?
    Answer
    It is safe to leave your Dolphin cleaner in the water when not in use. However, (when adding chemicals to the pool) please remove the Dolphin until the proper chlorine and PH balance are obtained.

    Can I use my Dolphin pool cleaner with an extension cord or surge protector?

    The Dolphin is not designed to be used with an extension cord or surge protector.

    Not all Dolphins are suitable for infinity pools, please contact Maytronics directly or your local Dolphin retailer for information regarding the models that are suitable for this pool type.

    Yes, the Dolphin is suitable to use in fiberglass or Vinyl pool surfaces.

    Maytronics offers several pool cleaners both via brick and mortar stores and via internet dealers that include warranty rights. Please refer to the ‘Residential pools’ section of our website for our product listings.

    Can I purchase a Dolphin pool cleaner and use it abroad?
    Answer

    Dolphin pool cleaners purchased in the United States must be operated in North America in order to retain the warranty rights. Using any Dolphin pool cleaner outside of North America (that is purchased in the US) voids the warranty service agreement.

    Can I leave the power supply unit outside in the elements?
    Answer
    The power supply unit is an electrical device which must be protected from the elements. When in use the unit needs to remain dry. Do not submerge the power supply unit in water as this will damage the internal components.

    I would like to disclose a live conversation I had today dated 7/24/19 at 12pm with maytronics customer service. Purchased Dolphin Dx3s 99996313-CAR, serial number J34803LS1H, on May 16, 2017 from Leslie Pools. Received this at my home on May 22 2017. Began using this June 2017 for a total of 3 times during the month, July for a total of 3 times during the month, August for a total of 3 times during the month. Pool cleaner cleaned the pool excellent. Living in the north east where a pool season is 3 months out of the year, this was stored in a temperature controlled home. Not in the garage nor in the shed as per the instructions manual. 2018, same as above, total use 9 times during the pool season. 2019 used it 3 times in June, July 2019 unit starts to shut off after 5 min. Total use 21 cycles. The pool cleaner comes with a 12 month warranty. For us folks located in the north east, the pool cleaner is stored more than used. I take it to Leslie Pools as per the instructions manual from maytronics, they tell me they terminated their service contract with Maytronics, will not service the unit nor do they sell the products in store any longer. shocker, I wonder why!!! They help me diagnose the unit since I purchased it from the local store, they state the motor is good but the power supply is defective, 250$ plus tax to fix. I called Maytronics. Explained above, I was told verbatim I am 1 year behind the 1 year warranty. Their arrogance, told me to ensure I write that in the review. I continued to explain that made zero sense from a corporation perspective that you are asking me to write in the review that your product is defective and only lasts 2 years. Which is really not 2 years of use. Compare that to any electronic you use daily at the same price point. Maytronics said there is nothing they could do I had to purchase another power supply. Do not buy this product or any product from this company. There could have been a 100 year warranty on this thing, the product itself is garbage that lasts 21 times? at 700$ price tag and you will end up laying out another 300$-500$ to repair this thing. Then the company had the nerve to say to me to buy the 300$ power supply in July 2019 and the warranty on that is only 6 months. By December this thing will be dead and the cycle will start all over laying out more and more money. Its absolutely laughable from a corporation perspective. If you live in the north-east, hire a pool company 50$ a week to clean your pool you will get better customer service. Or buy a Polaris, at least they give a 3 year warranty.

    We purchased our Dolphin Deluxe 3 in July 2009. We couldn’t live without it. We have had zero repairs or problems. We did have to restitch the cloth diaper, as we call it, but nothing else. We recommend it to everyone who has an in ground pool.

    The cord twists and tangles very soon after you turn it on, even when you unwind and straighten it out. This caused it to pull the power supply box into the pool and now it will not work. Also, the power box does not work properly very long. We began having trouble with ours early on after purchasing. It would not run for the amount of time we set it for. Many times it would stop running after only 20-30 minutes when the timer was set for 3 hours. Also, we frequently had to unplug everything and replugin order for the box to even work at all. This began just a few months after we bought it. We have had it 2 years, and recently is when the cord tangled and caused it to pull thepower box intothe pool.

    The cleaner does a good job, but the power cord with swivel is a very poor design.
    I don’t care how many times you straighten it out and lay it in the sun, it still gets all wound up.

    We have owned the DX3 for just over a year and it’s been flawless! For me, It’s a weekly maintenance sweeper. I’d never let my pool get trashed, therefore we have a perfectly clean pool year round. It’s very easy to launch and cleanup of the replaceable diaper is a breeze.! I highly recommend this product and model! We hope to have many more years of great product performance.

    This will be our third year of owning the Dolphin DX3. After building our pool we talked about duying a Dolphin but decided not to spend the money. Never owning a pool before we did not know how much work was involved in vacuuming the pool. We decided to buy the DX3 after talking with our pool installer and finding out that is the one his wife owned and swore by. We should have bought one from the start. You just drop it in the pool, turn it on and let it do it’s thing. 2 hours later the pool is spotless. I would recomend it to anyone who owns a pool or is in the planning stages of having a pool installed.
