2019: Year in Review

Happy New Year! While we have just dipped our toes into 2020, we thought we would take this time to reflect on some of the exciting Maytronics moments & milestones of the past year.

Team Growth

We were fortunate to have kicked off the first quarter of 2019 by expanding our team 20%. Maytronics welcomed new team members across several departments, namely, in marketing, sales, customer service, IT, and warehouse.

This has given us the opportunity to develop and cultivate a new company culture, and get involved in initiatives like volunteerism. For example, during this past holiday season, our teams came together to pack and deliver hygiene kits & gifts to homeless children and their mothers at a local shelter.


New Technology

In addition to overall growth, 2019 was a great year for innovation. Maytronics introduced the Always Connected technology, which allows you to operate your Dolphin from anywhere at any time using your mobile device.

Connect your Dolphin to the cloud using your home Wi-Fi, and download the MyDolphin™ Plus app from the Apple App store or Google Play.

This revolutionary new app makes pool cleaning even easier—you can remote control your Dolphin, set up cleaning programs, check operation status, get proactive care tips, and more.

The Always Connected technology is currently available for only one model, but later this year, it will be a key feature of several models.


New Dolphin Robot

Around June, Maytronics was thrilled to unveil the newest addition to the M-Line of Dolphins, the M600. Designed for ultimate cleaning convenience, this state-of-the-art Dolphin is the very first model to utilize the Always Connected technology.

It has 25% greater suction rate than any other Dolphin, is equipped with a powerful combination of our two cleaning technologies for smarter navigation, and even a new “pick me up” feature in which the robot waits for you at the edge of the pool, making robot retrieval a breeze.

New Dolphin Users

If you are interested in purchasing a Dolphin but would like to test the capabilities for yourself, you may be interested in our Dolphin Demo program—take home a Dolphin for a one or two-day free trial!

In 2019, almost 4,000 interested customers became Dolphin owners after trying a demo. Will you be the next one? Contact your local Dolphin dealer to see if they are participating in this program and reserve your demo.


New Markets

Not only did we enjoy tremendous company growth, but we were also able to expand our presence in the sunbelt region (Florida, Texas, Arizona, and California) and Canada.

As these parts of the country and continent most commonly use traditional suction and pressure side pool cleaners, this was an exciting opportunity to provide an untapped market with greater access to robotic pool cleaners.


Vendor of the Year Award

Back in October, our team traveled to Orlando to attend the international sales conference of the world’s largest distributor of pool supplies. We were able to showcase our offerings to key leaders in the pool industry and stay up to date on industry news.

Despite weather challenges and slow forecasts in the pool industry in 2019, Maytronics was able to successfully help dealers & distributors to grow their business. For this reason, Maytronics was named Vendor of the Year! This was truly a surprise and an honor we are grateful to have received.

2019 was undoubtedly a memorable year in so many ways, and the successes of the past year could not have been possible without the support of our awesome Maytronics customers and team.
